In the constantly evolving field of product design, the skills required to excel as a Product Designer are changing rapidly. By 2025, certain skills will be essential to meet emerging challenges and growing user expectations. Here are ten key skills to develop to stay at the cutting edge of the profession.

AI is transforming our approach to design. Tools such as ChatGPT and Claude facilitate idea generation and rapid prototyping. As a designer, I've experimented with these technologies to automate certain repetitive tasks, enabling me to concentrate on more creative aspects of the project. For example, using DALL-E to generate visuals from text descriptions considerably accelerated the design process.

Platforms such as Claude and v0 enable concepts to be transformed into interactive prototypes quickly and efficiently. For example, using Claude, a designer can generate complex interactions from text descriptions, while v0 facilitates the conversion of these ideas into production-ready components. This process is particularly advantageous when transitioning from Figma mock-ups to functional prototypes, where AI can automate repetitive tasks and speed up development.

On a recent project, I used Webflow to design an interactive interface in just a few days, which enabled me to validate design hypotheses before mobilizing development resources.
